I had no doubt she would love the climbing walls and I had no doubt that she would try her best, but I had no idea she would conquer every wall she attempted. Today, I took Evy and her friend Olivia to Funtopia, to climb. Evy did not hesitate to climb every wall and she made it to the top of every wall she tried!
(the gears moved on this wall)
(taking over the city)
(scaling the roof tops)
(this wall was floating and therefore moving as she climbed)
A day of love makes this little one very happy! She loves Valentine's Day and all of the things that come with it!
Charlie and Evy are very excited for their classroom parties (I am helping at Charlie's party) and then heart pizza dinner and heart shaped cake for dessert! Spread the love!
It was 40 degrees today and was a nice break from the sub-zero cold. Evy couldn't wait to get some fresh air so we took her horse and carriage for a ride. She has quite the ride!
This weekend was the Cub Scouts annual Pinewood Derby event. Matt and Charlie worked on his car all week to get it ready hoping that he would place this year. When Matt and Charlie tested the car the day before the event, it wasn't initially running very fast, but after a half hour of tweaks it was cruising. On Sunday, the day of the event, Charlie was very nervous. When his den was up, he won every race! When he raced against other dens he placed in almost every time (once he placed second). Charlie and his friends knew by the end he had it in the bag and they were so excited when Charlie took home the first place trophy!
These boys joined the Science Olympiad this year. They had to make a container out of 10 sheets of paper that would catch an egg without cracking or damaging the egg. Although there contraption was testing well during practice at the event it didn't do as well. During their practice round at the Olympiad they walls of their structure broke and they didn't make it past 4 feet. But, they tried and had a good time hanging out! Next year these boys will be back with a vengeance.
