Charlie's 2nd Birthday!

A week of celebrations!

We had a wonderful brunch on Sunday with our family to celebrate Charlie's birthday. He loves when all of the attention is on him and he certainly loved the Thomas the Train cake! On his actual birthday, I made him his favorite meal of macaroni and cheese and then we took him out for ice cream. When we got home he opened his birthday present - a Thomas the Train scooter. He had to try it right away and he was riding like a professional it in no time! There are more pictures from his birthday in the March album in the gallery.

Lincoln Park Zoo

Thanks to the unseasonably warm weather in March, Charlie and I visited the Lincoln Park Zoo for the first time this year. He watched the polar bear play with a tire for over 10 minutes, although I think the monkey house was still his favorite. There are more pictures in the gallery.

Playing Around

Charlie, Emma, and Brendan are going to get in all sorts of trouble as they get older. They are already locking themselves in cabinets!

Charlie's First Birthday Party

Charlie was invited to his first birthday party. His friend from school, Kylin, invited him to Pickles Playroom in Lincoln Square. He played with his friends, ate pizza, sang happy birthday, and ate cake. It was a fun evening for us and Charlie!

Weekend in Fontana

For President's Day weekend we went to Fontana, Wisconsin and stayed in Grandpa Newsham's condo. We spent all day Saturday swimming at the Abby. Charlie loved the water, but I think his favorite part was the water slide. It was a fun weekend!
