Family Photos

We scheduled our family photo shoot for the last weekend in October, which was the only time that worked with us and our photographer. I was worried that the weather would never cooperate, but somehow we got lucky and ended up with a random 75 degree Chicago day.  We ended up with a great day and great photos! 

Mother - Son Dance

On Friday, Charlie was my date at the Mayer Mother-Son Dance. On the way to the dance he held my hand the entire way to Mayer (this never happens) and told me that this was the best night of my life because he was out with his mommy on a beautiful night. It was one of the best nights of my life too!

The gym which was decorated and the DJ played great music. Charlie danced the night away with me...actually we dance for about an hour before he decided he wanted to go home. Before we left we had our photo taken with the photographer (picture a prom set-up) and a few snacks in the lunchroom and then we headed out for the night. It was tons of fun!

Emily Oaks Nature Center Field Trip

Today I chaperoned Charlie's class field trip. It was a little chilly at Emily Oaks Nature Center, but the kids didn't seem to mind.

Riding Buddies

As Evy gets older it is amazing to watch her and Charlie play together. Joint playtime usually only happens when it is convenient for Charlie, but Evy will take any attention she can get from her big brother.
