Charlie has been taking an after school art class for the past few weeks. This week the project was Santa coming in and Santa coming out of the chimney.

Another Weekend Living City Life
After a busy Thanksgiving weekend, we decided to lay low over the weekend. On Saturday we ventured out to see the movie, Moana. We all liked the movie, but Evy only liked it for about an hour! On Sunday we went out to Maggie Daley Park. The kids (and parents) had a good time checking out all the park has to offer.
(This kid is the future Mayor of Chicago)

(Evy actually volunteered for a picture! Priceless!)

(Swinging in the nest - we need one of these Santa!)

(Moana sailing)

(Climbing high)

(Nailed the landing)

(And then we lost the kids to the whale)

I am thankful for...
I think I speak for Matt when I say we are thankful for these two crazy kids. Despite the last few months of insanity, they keep us going. I am also thankful for the elephant that provided these two with entertainment so I could have eat a meal without interruption! Happy Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Break Fun
Nana and I took the kids out to Level 257, a bowling alley and arcade for dinner in honor of Charlie's first day of Thanksgiving break. (He has only had 2 days off so far this school year, so he was ready for a break after working so hard this year). We started with a very competitive bowling game (see photos below). Charlie finished with a 95 and Evy finished with a 73. Then we moved on to the arcade room and played a few fun games before dinner. The kids were not ready to leave, which is the sign of a good time.
(Evy really wanted a strike)

(SPARE!)

(YES!!!)

(Coolest Star Wars game ever!)

(Now she wants to pose)

(Crazy girl!)

(His Popeye)

(My loves)
Christmas Time in the City
Before dinner, we walked to Target on State Street for some necessities and then Charlie saw a golden Christmas tree, which is definitely a necessity. We bought a few ornaments and decorated the golden tree - it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas (in the Wells apartment).
