A Day in the Park

We had to leave our house so the contractors could finish up a few remaining projects, so we took off as soon as everyone was dressed. First, we had lunch at the Original Pancake House before heading to the Zoo. Despite the fact that it was cloudy and cold, the time flew by and once the contractor told me he was done, we headed home for lunch and naps. It's going to be so hard not to have this amazing place in our back yard.

While Grandma was watching these two crazy kids, Charlie somehow ended up in Evy's crib! He says he was "sleep walking", but I think they just wanted to cuddle. We managed to get Charlie out before he crushed his sister. 

Pirates

Summer vacation is here! We could not be home for a couple days because we have contractors painting the house so we headed out to Pirate's Cove for part of the day with Pops. When Charlie was Evy's age he loved this place. Evy definitely shared those same feelings and was thrilled to go on the rides. Charlie could have used a few more  "bigger" rides, but he managed to still enjoy himself.

Last Day of Kindergarten! June 21, 2016

The day is finally here - Charlie has finished with kindergarten! Our big boy is heading to first grade! 

This year Charlie has developed a love for writing and creating his own stories. He also blew through his sight words and can now read chapter books. He has been practicing addition, subtraction, and multiplication too. He is as creative as ever and still loves his art time. He has made so many amazing friends and after three wonderful years at Mayer it is bittersweet to say goodbye. Charlie has received an amazing education and is thriving. 

To celebrate his last day of Kindergarten and at Mayer, Charlie opened his special graduation present from daddy after school, a new watch! After Charlie opened his gift, he and Evy spent time playing with friends on the playground before we headed to the graduates choice for dinner - Potbelly's. After we were home Charlie tasted the treat our babysitter left for him and we headed upstairs for bath where Charlie got to try out his new big-boy robe. Big boys wear watches and robes - or at least Charlie does!

Playing Around

At the beginning of the year, she could barely make her way up the playground at Mayer. Now she is a total monkey!

Evy has so many different faces to express her emotions. It's one of her many unique qualities and I just want to remember all of them! 

How To Pull A Tooth

When you have a wiggly tooth, you should tie floss around the tooth and slam the door. At least that was the Charlie Dobry plan. He couldn't follow through! 

End of Year Picnic

To celebrate the end of the year Mayer hosted a popsicle party! The kids wore their tie-dyed shirts, ate popsicles and ran all over the playground before calling it a day. It was a perfect day to play with friends.

Three Year of the Walkathon

The past couple years Charlie has gotten older, but it does not always register because I see him everyday. When I look back and compare pictures over the years it is amazing to see how big he is and how much he has changed!

3rd Annual Mayer Walkathon!

Today is one of Charlie's favorite days of the entire school year - the annual walkathon! The past two years Evy's participation has been minimal, but this year she dove in and ran the entire time with her brother. Charlie ran with her the entire time and made sure they stopped for water and refueled with a couple apples post walkathon. It was a beautiful day and a great final Mayer walkathon for our family. We are going to really miss this place!
