No A/C?

When it's 83 degrees in the house for the 3rd day in a row, but your baby is sick. You sit in the car to cool off! Best idea ever!

Golfing

Charlie has been taking golf lessons on Tuesdays after school. He is the youngest kid in the class, but he has one of the best swings - the result of all of his at home practice with daddy!

Riverview Dinner

Our air conditioner is broken and it is very hot in our house. Instead of trying to figure out what to make for dinner using only the microwave,  I found a kids eat free restaurant and we headed to Roscoe Village for dinner tonight. Riverview Tavern was a delicious dinner and it's always great when you only pay for 2 out of 4 people. We had a great meal and these two played together and quietly. Win-Win!

Sunday at the Zoo

What better way to spend a Sunday morning? First we walked around the zoo, then stopped for ice cream before heading home for a nap that EVERYONE enjoyed. It was a perfect Sunday.

This girl...

She warms my heart and she makes me laugh everyday. I can't imagine a world without this girl.

Let's Go Fly a Kite

Another chilly day in May, but we bundled up and headed out to take in some sun and make use of the kites that the Easter Bunny brought this year. Everyone managed to get it up in the air, which is quite an accomplishment! Kite flying is not easy.

We won't live in Chicago forever....

Evy and I were looking at a butterfly book today and she said she wanted to see butterflies. It was almost time to pick up Charlie from school so we packed up, picked up Charlie and went to the Notebart Nature Museum to look at butterflies - and check out a few other exhibits. By the time we arrived we had just over an hour, but with free parking and free entrance to the museum, why not? We won't live this close to the museum for much longer, so we took advantage of the opportunity and the kids had a blast.

(She said, "don't take my picture". What a face!)

(Look at this big kid!)

(They were both soaking wet learning about the Lake Michigan locks)

First Grade Aspirations

Charlie wants to look like a first grader so he is only wearing one strap on his backpack! I need a potion that makes this child stop growing! It is hard to believe in 6 short weeks this amazing kid is going to be finished with kindergarten.

First Tooth!

Today, Charlie lost his first tooth! He took a bite of mac n' cheese and out came his tooth. He was thrilled it was finally out, it's been hanging on for weeks. Tonight, the tooth fairy makes her first visit!
