First Grade 2016-2017
This is Charlie's first-grade class photo. He loves to read, is excelling in math, and I think he may be the cutest first grader ever!

Relaxing Friday
Friday night after dinner, I got the kids ready for bed before watching a movie. When I returned from filling up water cups and I found these two cuddling. When they are not fighting they sure are cute!

Shopping Buddy
Today, I took Evy shopping with me for the first time. We had no stroller and I needed clothes for California, so I decided to try it. Evy tried on a dress or two and talked to several sales women to pass the time, but I think I may have a child who does not hate shopping! Lucky for her, she has a mommy who hates shopping so it won't happen too often!

Birthday Nails
Sarah and I wanted to take the girls for a special birthday treat (they share September birthdays). We started the day with breakfast and then took the girls for a special manicure and pedicure. They were so happy. The nail polish didn't last, but the girls loved every minute. We may have a new annual tradition.

Zoo Day
Once again, we had to leave for an open house. Matt was golfing and I wanted to take full advantage of the beautiful weather so we headed to the zoo for a field trip and picnic. I promised Evy we would have a picnic all summer, so she was thrilled I finally came through!

Happy 3rd Birthday Evelyn!
Evy is an amazing three year old! She loves to talk (she rarely stops) and is willing to talk to anyone. She often walks right up to strangers and asks what their name is, just because she is curious. She loves dogs and we often have outings just to search for dogs to pet. She is extremely funny and laughs often, but she can be very stubborn when she does not get her way. She imitates just about everything Charlie does and she would certainly follow him to the ends of the earth. She is tough as nails and is never going to have any problem defending herself. She loves treats (anything sweet) and just about all food, assuming Charlie does not say he does not like it. She loves to play with her babies and play family as well as Jake. She always has pixie dust ready just in case we need to get away. She is thoughtful, affectionate, loving and she makes our family complete. It has been a quick three years, I only wish we could slow it down! Happy Birthday to our sweet girl!
Every 3 year old needs a pony ride on their birthday!
(Baa! Having birthday fun day at Randall Oaks Farm because she wanted to pet animals)
(Her minion cake that she picked out. I was shocked it was not Izzy from Jake)

Evy's First Day of Stepping Stones Preschool Class
Today, Evy started a class called "Stepping Stones" which is supposed to prepare kids for preschool. I am not sure this class is necessary as she walked right in and waved by to me as she started playing. There was absolutely no hesitation. When I picked her up she said, "I thought I was staying for lunch." It's only a two hour class and clearly this disappointed her. Once we get settled in the new house, I have no doubt she will be more than ready for school. In the mean time, she looks forward to school on Wednesdays.

Xtra Math Achievement
Charlie has to practice addition and subtraction weekly using an app called xtra math. He has worked very hard and was only one of two kids in his class to complete the addition portion. He is 64 percent of the way through subtraction, so look for another certificate soon!

Future LPGA Member
Evy and I went to the park which happened to be next to a driving range. We borrowed some clubs (they even had kids clubs available) and hit a bucket of balls. Evy was not interested for long, but Matt was proud!
New Monkey Bars
Charlie has new monkey bars to master at school and he is dominating! Although, he doesn't finish the spinning bars in this video he can make it across. He is getting really strong.
