Dressing Up

While I was picking up decorations for Evy's birthday (without her knowing) she was trying on all of the costumes that are starting to come out for Halloween. I think she can pull of a troll or Luigi! She also found the perfect birthday necklace (which I bought without her knowing). She's going to have a great birthday!

Ready for School

Today, we had a girls day to get ready for Evy's first day of school. First we started with a hair cut, then we got our nails done and we finished with a delicious lunch! Now, she's ready to start 4 year old preschool in style!

Let 3rd Grade Begin!

Don't blink or your baby heads to 3rd grade! This year Charlie is starting 3rd grade. He has a classroom full of his buddies (Nathan, Jack and Diego) and although he didn't get the teacher he wanted, I think it's going to be a great year. If he can keep for chatting everyday!

Last Weekend of Summer

The Hillebrands' invited us to spend our last weekend of summer at their family house in Culver, IN. It was an amazing weekend filled with friends, laughs, swimming, boating, smores' and the kids' first time tubing! It was the perfect end to summer! Let the school year begin!

A Day at the Ballpark

Every year, CBRE hosts a fundraiser at Wrigley that's always a great time for Charlie. This year was extra special as his love of baseball has reached an all-time high this year. He spent the evening catching balls and hitting on the field, as well as getting batting tips from Kyle Schwarber! His love of all things Cubs continues to grow.

Swimming with Friends

While the dad's are away on their annual caddy shack weekend, we had some of our own fun! We headed out to the Bellew's and enjoyed an afternoon poolside. After swimming we hung out, had pizza and watched the kids all play together and have a blast. I love that my kids are good friends with my friends kids! It makes life so much more fun. 

A Day at the Races

Today, to celebrate Nana's birthday we all went headed to the Race Track. We started the morning with a delicious brunch and watched the horses practice for the morning. Then we headed out on a backstage tour of Arlington! We saw every part of the race track, including where the horses are stabled.  The kids even got to pretend to be on camera! It was a blast and a fun way to celebrate Nana!

Ch-ch-changes!

It's been a week of new things in the life of Charlie Dobry. First, he got the all clear from his allergist to try eggs. He's been nervous to take the leap, but today he wanted french toast so I made it happen. He ate the whole plate and loved it and best of all...no reaction! We also found out that Charlie needed glasses, we knew the day was coming and it has finally arrived. I think he looks amazing!
