Introducing Charlie the Magician!

We were in line at Michael's and Charlie found this hat. He put it on his head and as a woman stepped up behind us in line, he tipped his hat to her. It was so adorable I let him get the hat. He also had to get a magic wand to go with it, which was really just a tube of glow bracelets. Either way, he was very happy and really enjoyed practicing magic tricks in the mirror. (Behind him you can see a glimpse of his new artwork.

Midnight Circus

Every year the Midnight Circus travels throughout parks in Chicago to help raise money for playground renovations. We decided to take Charlie to check it out this year and he was mesmerized. Unfortunately, they over sold and there were only standing room seats left which means we were holding all 32 pounds of Charlie. Maybe next year we will try again. I am in favor of anything that makes him smile like this!

Pumpkin Carving

Warning: These are not the best pictures, but I still wanted to share Charlie's first pumpkin carving experience. We did not let him do much carving, but he did pick out this 30 pound pumpkin with Grandma and Grandpa! He kept asking me for a glowing pumpkin, so we gave him a glowing pumpkin.

Pumpkin Picking Detour

Last year we took Charlie to an amazing pumpkin farm with Grandma and Grandpa. It farm has real farm animals,  jumpy houses and a train. It was lots of fun last year and we knew Charlie would like it more this year. We planned weeks in advance to do this again, but unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. Charlie still managed to pick out the biggest pumpkin he could find and climb on some hay bales (which he is probably allergic too), but then take a detour to the Children's Museum in Naperville.

That's his pumpkin on the far right

He loves to climb

Managed to almost get him to smile and stand still

He loved the museum

My Starbucks Pal

Charlie loves his milk, especially when it is in a cup just like mommy's!

Cheers!
