Christmas Happenings

This holiday season has went fast, but was filled with great memories. It is Evelyn's first Christmas and Charlie's excitement is contagious. These are highlights from the month:

How the Charlie Stole Christmas
I am not sure why Charlie loves the villains, but he does. He even pretends to be the Grinch and steal Christmas!

The Elf Situation 
Charlie had a very bad day and his Elf, donut, did not come back one day. It was his warning to be a good boy before Santa comes. A couple days after donut returned we saw Santa at a restaurant and Charlie went to talk to him. When he came back to the table he said, "phew, at least he didn't ask me about that whole elf situation".

Visiting Santa 
It was Evy's first visit with Santa and she was great. (Actual Santa photos will have its own post)

Gingerbread House Party 
The last day of school they decorated ginger bread houses. As I was walking to school I ran into a couple moms who helped the kids decorate and they all told me about Charlie's gingerbread house and how he used more candy than any other kid. Well, they were right!

Horner Ho-Down

Today we celebrated Christmas with the Horner family and Santa even showed up! Charlie and Evy both had some one on one time with Santa. We even (sort of) managed a group picture of all of the great-grand-kids.

Visiting Santa

Evy had her first visit with Santa today! The red suit didn't seem to bother her and Charlie was thrilled to see Santa in person. He asked Santa if he could bring him the Hulk for Christmas -- fingers crossed he is under the tree on Christmas morning!

Meeting the Congressman

Evelyn was the guest of honor at our annual office Christmas lunch and Evy met her first Congressman. I think she's been bit by the political bug! 

Scary Bench Man

I thought this guys was a little scary for the children's museum, but Charlie seemed to like him!
