After packing and moving, I really needed to get my nails done. Unfortunately, I had no time alone so I decided to try to get it done with Evy and to convince her this was a good idea, I let her get a manicure and pedicure too. The day could have gone two ways: 1. She would be great 2. She would make it the longest hour of my life. She actually did great. She did get bored towards the end (as I do too) but she loved getting pampered. She had her toes painted purple with glitter and her fingers were purple with a flower on each thumb. She was a happy girl. As we were wrapping up she said, "are we going to go get my haircut now?"

City Living
We are really living in the City for the next couple weeks, at least on the weekends when we come downtown and spend time with Matt. It was fun to explore new parts of the City and some old favorites.

World Series Parade
Charlie was a lucky kid and missed school today to be a part of the Cubs parade downtown. He was so excited to see Schwarber and the trophy. After the parade we went to Rock Bottom and watched the Grant Park rally. It was a great day.

Good Bye Wayne Manor 2008-2016
Today we said good-bye to Wayne Manor. Our home for the past 8 years. This was the first home Matt and I bought together, we were married in this home and brought Evy and Charlie home from the hospital to Wayne Manor. Moving is bittersweet as we love everything about our home, but it is time to move on. We took the kids back one last time once the house was empty and there were mixed emotions. They loved running around with no furniture, but Evy wanted to know where her crib was and Charlie was sad that we would not be back. It was a very emotional day and it is hard to believe that Wayne Manor is officially gone.
