Our park district hosts a post Halloween event, call The Pumpkin Smash. They organize various activities for kids to smash and ultimately dispose of their jack-o-lanterns. The weather was perfect and the kids were very happy to smash! They started by racing their pumpkins down the sledding hill and Charlie came in 3rd place. Then Charlie took a bat to destroy his pumpkin and Evy chose a mallet and she took it very seriously!
It's the best day of the year...well maybe not the best, but it's one of my favorites. This year was extra special because it was 60 degrees making it the best day ever! Halloween started at Evy's school with a parade and then it was off to get Charlie dressed for his parade. After his parade, I picked up Evy and we headed back to Charlie's school to start trick or treating. Charlie was out on and off from 3:30 to 8:15! Evy made it for a solid two hours too. The weather was perfect and the kids were very happy with their candy haul!
We finally carved our pumpkins, after a busy fall we squeezed it in the last weekend before Halloween. This was the first year that the kids did most of the work. They cleared the pumpkin and carved. They were very spooktacular!
There is no one in this world that loves dogs more than Evy. Our friends the Torrez's have a new addition to their family - Brownie Muffin. Evy's new bestie for life!
Evy went on her first Wilderness Princess campout with just daddy! This was the first daddy-daughter trip and Evy had a blast outside and with her friends. She wasn't afraid of anything and held her own amongst girls that were all at least 3 years older than her!
