Circus Time

Today we took Charlie and Evy to Ringling Brothers Circus at the United Center. We thought Charlie would enjoy the elephants and tigers and we just hoped Evy would make it through without disturbing everyone around us.

In the end, Charlie did enjoy the show for about 45 minutes and Evy slept the entire time. Overall, I think it was a success.

Thankful

Charlie's class celebrated Thanksgiving today with a feast. Each child was responsible for making a dish that was served at the feast and they all took turns passing serving the food. They had to use good manners and ask their friends nicely if they would like to try a certain food and the person receiving the food had to respond with a please and/or thank you. It was so nice to see charlie interact with all of his new friends and he was so proud to show off for mommy.

All Smiles

We are starting to get a few smiles from Evy and each one is sweeter than the next!

Sip and See

In the South after a baby is born a family member hosts a sip and see. It's like an open house for people to come by, sip some tea and see the baby. It is a nice southern tradition and our family friends, the O'Donnell's, offered to host for Evy. It was the perfect way for some of my family and friends to meet Evy. We even got a great family picture!

Halloween

Halloween morning started with a parade at Charlie's school. The little kids parade around the school and show off their costumes.

(Spidey was very excited to see mommy, daddy and Evy)

After school we came home and got ready to go trick or treating with our friends. For the 3rd year we have hosted dinner and trick or treating and Charlie loves showing his friends around the neighborhood.

(He never gives up!)

Despite the rain it was a great Halloween. Charlie actually wanted to wear a  costume this year and was so excited to knock on people's doors. He said "trick or treat" at every house and "thank you". It was a great day and by the end of it, Spiderman and Minnie Mouse were ready for bed!
