The vacation that almost didn't happen. After almost two weeks Evy still has a cold and then I'm diagnosed with the flu and completely knocked off my feet. We debated whether or not to actually take this trip, but in the end we managed to pack (at the very last minute, which I never enjoy) and wake up very early to catch our plane. We woke up a little too late and made it to the airport with 40 minutes to spare before our flight. Thanks to many nice people this morning like the family in front of us who let us ahead of them in the security line and the gate agent who made sure we had a row saved for us so we could sit together, we made it! Once we landed in Phoenix,we had a couple more bumps, but we made it safe and sound. The weather is beautiful and the sun made us all feel much better.

Easter Sunday
Charlie and Evy had a candy filled Easter this year! After waking up bright and early the kids hunted for eggs around our house and searched for their baskets. Just before sitting down for dinner with Nana and Pops we realized there was an impromptu Easter Egg hunt taking place in our courtyard which Charlie couldn't miss! I counted his eggs at the end of the day while checking them for peanut butter candy and he ended up with 105 eggs, quite a haul for a 5 year old.

Here Comes Peter Cottontail...
Today we went to see the Easter Bunny at Metro Market. We met the Easter Bunny, had lunch and participated in the first of several Easter Egg hunts. As always, my kids put on their best smiles for the camera!

Rollin in My Escalade
While waiting for our car at the Toyota dealership, Evy test drove 10 different cars. She was very fond of the Escalade!
