Spring Break 2016: Bear Country USA - Rapid City, SD

Today, we stopped at Bear Country USA and what a crazy stop it proved to be! You drive through the entire park and throughout the drive there are various areas that house different animals. When we entered the park, the gate attendant told us that the "bears have been feisty". When we asked her to elaborate she said that one car lost a windshield wiper and one lost a side mirror the week before. This warning, probably should have stopped us, but I am glad we continued.

Spring Break: Omaha, Nebraska

We left Chicago early this morning and headed towards Omaha, Nebraska. We planned to drive for most of the day on Saturday and stop in Omaha for a couple days. Once we arrived at the CoCo Key Resort in Omaha we checked in and hit the water park. It was great for the kids to run around and release all of the energy built up from 8 hours of driving. The next morning we woke up and went to the Omaha Zoo. The trip there started out with a band when Evy fell on a concrete bench before we even had our tickets for the zoo. Luckily the first-aid station was operated by the Children's Hospital and a wonderful nurse helped us clean up Evy. She had a cut inside her lip, a chipped tooth. a swollen lip and a cut on her chin. Once she was cleaned up she still wanted to see the animals so off we went! After a day at the zoo we headed back to the hotel for naps and everyone was wiped out! After dinner we decided to skip the water park for the night and go straight to bed. Our final morning the kids spent time in the water before getting in the car and heading to our next stop in Rapid City, South Dakota. We really enjoyed Omaha. The kids loved the zoo and the water park. The highlight for Matt was checking out Warren Buffet's house!

We visited the Modjeski's last night and these three had a blast! (Not that you can tell!) They can't wait to live 7 minutes away from each other later this year. 

Springtime Baby Class

Evy is back at Adam's Park for her baby class. She absolutely loves this class and it's so fun to see her back playing in familiar territory.
