Total Eclipse

Evy, Pops and I witnessed the eclipse this afternoon.  Thank goodness the O'Donnell's came through with glasses today! We could not have watched without them! It definitely lived up to the hype! 

First Day of Second Grade

Our little man is off to second grade and Mrs. Christian's class. He was a little nervous about school this year, especially because his best friend Jack is not in his class. However, as soon as we arrived at school and he ran into more friends he had no problem heading into the building with a smile on his face! After finishing 17 books this summer, I cannot wait to see all that he learns and takes away from being a second grader.

Annual End of Summer Chuck E Cheese Trip!

New Chuck E Cheese this year, but same end of summer fun! We ate pizza and played tons of games, until Evy had had enough. She was not feeling well, so after enjoying 100 tokens of games we headed home. Tradition continues and Evy's hair keeps getting better! 

Shedd with Friends

Today, we headed back to the City for some fun with the Hillebrands. I was not sure the Shedd Aquarium would keep Charlie entertained, but he and Brendan had a great time touring the museum and learning all about the fish in every tank. The girls were not quite as interested and got bored a little faster, but we spent a long day exploring and had a great time. Our last downtown adventures this summer!

Jumping Beans

Today, at the kids' request we headed to the trampoline park. They jumped for over an hour and despite that the place was more crowded than usual, they managed to wear themselves out. And then we ended the day with ice cream. Perfect kid day!
