Trick or Treat

We traveled 6 hours to St. Louis to celebrate Charlie’s first Halloween with our college friends and their children. We went to a local outdoor mall where the kids could trick or treat (or their parents could collect candy because none of our babies have more than 4 teeth), get their faces painted and ride on a horse drawn trailer. We only went to a few stores for candy before we detoured for lunch. Next year I think will be a little more exciting for Charlie; I imagine he will be able to toddle up to doors and possibly even say something that sounds like, “trick or treat”.

It was a great weekend, although Charlie was not his usual happy self as evident by the lack of smiles in some of the pictures. We are not sure if he is teething or just overwhelmed by being surrounded by so many people in an unfamiliar place. However, he seemed to bounce right back on Sunday night once we were home. All in all, he did pretty well and enjoyed playing with Henry who is 7 months older and staring at Josie, who is 3 months younger.

The picture below is Charlie the Dragon. There are more pictures in the photo gallery of Charlie and friends.
