No Fear!

On Sunday, we took Charlie to Great America. Once a year CDW rents out the park for employees and we got to tag along with friends and Uncle Patrick, the newest addition to the CDW family.

As soon as we stepped foot into the park, Charlie wanted to ride the carousel. After the carousel ride, we headed further into the park and came across "The Whizzer". Great America says this about "The Whizzer" - The world's only spiral lift coaster, The Whizzer has been thrilling riders with gravity-defying turns since Great America's premier in 1976.

It is not the scariest roller coaster in the park and children 36 inches or taller are allowed to ride with an adult. Charlie was just under the approved height line, but his daddy decided that he was close enough and wanted to take him on his first coaster so off they went! Charlie ended up getting pulled off the coaster to be measured (and thanks to dad putting up his hood) he was allowed on the ride. I was terrified, until I saw his face after the ride. He loved every minute of it!

This trip confirmed my fear -- Charlie has no fear!

He's not looking at the camera, but he is about to experience his first roller coaster ride!
