The Last Day of First Grade

Charlie is officially a second grader! How did this happen?

After a long year (selling our house, moving, driving back and forth from the suburbs to the City, living in an apartment on the weekends and weekdays and Nana and Pop's house) he made it and he did amazingly well. His first grade teacher, Mrs. Chalberg, was amazing and had much to do with his success. She helped him through tough days and recognized him on good days. He developed a love of math and continued reading at a higher level than anyone in his class. He was chosen to be gym leader more than any of his other classmates and his gym teacher even called me this year to tell me that he is a great leader. He also found a new love for basketball, loved going to Cub Scout events and signed up for baseball this summer. Charlie proved to us once again, he can handle just about anything and he can do it with grace. We are so proud of him and all of his accomplishments this year!
