Last Day of Preschool!

School is over! Charlie made it through his first year of preschool and is now a junior kindergartner (which he is very excited about) and we are so proud of him and all that he has accomplished this year. It's hard to believe that 9 months ago Charlie was starting preschool and Evy wasn't here yet. So much has changed in such a short time!

Charlie has learned so much this year, below are just a few of his accomplishments this year:

  • He is writing his name and room number.
  • He colors all the time and stays in the lines almost every time.
  • He knows almost all of his letter sounds and even the names of most letters.
  • He recognizes number 1-10.
  • He knows all about mammals (I told him a dolphin was a fish last night and he corrected me and told me they were mammals)
  • He learned all about arctic animals and walruses.
  • He learned about humpback whales and the threat of their extinction.
  • He learned all about dinosaurs.
  • He can say the pledge of allegiance.
  • He learned his address and knows what City and Country he lives in.
  • He can recite poems and sing so many songs I don't even know where to begin!
  • He can count and sing in Spanish.
