Today, I chaperoned Charlie's first field trip this year. We took the bus to the Apollo theater (which is blocks from our old house) to see the Junie B Jones Christmas play. Although it was the first field trip for most of his classmates, Charlie is an old pro. The kids did great and they loved the show and other than the bus hitting a viaduct because there was not enough clearance the day was went smoothly. The best part for me, was Charlie falling asleep on my lap on the way home.
