Spring Break: Sioux Falls, SD

Our first stop on the trip home was Sioux Falls, South Dakota which was almost 6 hours from where we started in Hill City. It was a long drive and we were all happy to get a good night sleep (after a couple games of Pie In Your Face). In the morning, before we continued on our journey we stopped to see the Sioux Falls. We had a late breakfast/early lunch in the old pumping station that overlooked the falls. After we ate we explored the park and the kids climbed the rocks that surround the falls. Once we finished our exploration, we loaded up and said good bye to South Dakota. Our next stop would be LaCrosse, Wisconsin which was a very quick overnight stop. We were there less than 12 hours before driving the final 4 hours home. This trip involved lots of driving and by the end, we all wanted out of the car. The kids were amazing in the car, despite being trapped in car seats for hours on end. We are lucky to have such great travel companions. At the end of this trip we made it through Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin on this trip. We are on well on our way to visiting all of the States!
